§05.04Post-award delivery

Post-award delivery.

Post-award delivery is procedural but unforgiving. Schools that under-deliver against the offer-letter scope face clawback; schools that miss the completion deadline without an evidenced extension lose remaining drawdown.

Compiled by Oliver Wakefield-Smith, founder, Digital Signet. Reviewed against ESFA Information for Applicants 2026-27 and the Condition Funding Methodology March 2026 revision.

§05.04.a

Drawdown

Drawdown is typically against staged claims linked to evidenced spend. Some projects use retrospective claim; the offer letter specifies.

§05.04.b

Monitoring

ESFA monitors against the offer-letter scope, programme and budget. Material changes require approval before they are progressed.

§05.04.c

Completion deadline

Practical completion by 31 March 2028 is the binding deadline. Extensions are granted only in narrowly evidenced circumstances and must be requested in advance.

§05.04.d

Evidence of completion

Practical completion certificate, photographic record of completed works, final account, and reconciliation against the offer-letter budget.
